What the Hell have I been Doing? Season 2 - Week 0: 03/30/26-04/05/26

New season, new format. We’re one month post Emerald City Comic Con, and it’s time to get back on track.

I have a lot of projects I want to work on, so I’m trying this method to make sure it all gets done.

This week’s post will cover things I’ve been working on for the past several weeks as I’ve been trying to build back that build momentum.

Tried to print a bangle. It wouldn’t stick.

⭐ This Week’s Focus

  • Blade of the Black Empire (BotBE)
  • Adding content to the website

🧵 Shit I Did

  • Engineering some components for the BotBE, including the charging port, switch, and panels where the LEDs would go.
  • Kept sanding the round cover that will give me access to the battery. Drilled holes for magnets.
  • Printed the Overwatch Ashe hat piece, League of Legends Ashe small diamonds, and OW Ashe bracelet. Well, attempted to anyways.
  • Bought a shitton of new stuff: an airbrush and accessories, makeup that’s compatible with the airbrush, foam, and paint.

🔮 Thoughts for Future Work

  • Decide before you print if you need to add holes for rods or magnets. Printing with 15% infill means the holes won’t be solid.
  • I feel like I didn’t get anything done because I don’t have anything finished. Everything is still in “IDK WTF I’m doing here!” mode.
  • Trust the process. You’ll get there.

📋 TODO — Next Week

  • Glue the Viper back together
  • Paint Ashe’s hat piece and attach to hat
  • Fix the hat vinyl that’s coming off
  • Solder the lights for the BotBE
  • Make a plan on how to make the cultist outfit

📸 Photo Dump

Blade panels I made a diffusion panel from a microwave food bowl.

Charger port The charger port fits perfectly and I’m coming up with a way to hold it in.

Switch I 3D printed a piece to screw the switch to. I cut the corner off so it will be flush with the main piece.

Blade battery I found a printable case online but I had to deal with the fact that these two connectors were the same, and the adapter was not what I needed!

Connector The adapter went into one side, and then I soldered the other wires to the tiny pins in the adapter.

Soldered wires I think it came out pretty good. At least it works.
