It can be difficult to tell what I’ve done and actually feel like I accomplished anything.
Logically, I did shit, but my mind doesn’t comprehend it. If it’s not finished, then it doesn’t feel like I got anything done. That statement sounds ridiculous reading it out loud, but try convincing my brain that I wasn’t lazy. I dare you to.
So when I look at these posts and at what I intended to do and what I actually did (or didn’t), I can see that I am making progress, even if it’s not where I thought I’d end up. We’re still moving forward.
Ashe and Freja from Overwatch, looking badass and ready for anything
⭐ This Week’s Focus
- Blade of the Black Empire (BotBE)
- Adding content to the website
🧵 Shit I Did
- Upgraded OW Ashe hat: printed hat piece, added band, reglued peeling vinyl.
- Attended a cosplay photoshoot at UW.
- Wrote a blog about cosplay prioritization to help me figure out a plan for getting Xal’atath 2.0 done.
🔮 Thoughts for Future Work
- I didn’t get much done, but that’s okay. Be kind to yourself.
- I’ll attend the electronics meetup at the makerspace and get help on the BotBE because I’m kinda stuck.
- To be honest, I’m struggling a little with getting back into production mode. Hopefully things look better soon.
📋 TODO — Next Week
- Write the follow-up blog for cosplay planning
- Make a Xal’atath landing page
- Cut out the fabric to remake the Xal dress (I need something easy to help me get back on track)
📸 Photo Dump
Finally completed my Ashe hat! I will need to find a drill to attach the centerpiece, as the hot glue did not stick well enough to the vinyl. I also upgraded my makeup here to be more accurate.
